Senso-ji (Senso Temple) - Hondo (MainHall)

In the center of Naijin (inner sanctum), there is Gokuden (miniature shrine) with Sho Kanzeon Bosatsu (the Bodhisattva Kannon), a principle statue of Senso-ji. In Gokuden, there are the secret statue of Sho Kanzeon Bosatsu, the duplicate statue carved by Ennin, and the statues dedicated by Ieyasu Tokugawa, Iemitsu Tokugawa and Kojunho Shinno. At both sides of Gokuden, sit the Buddhist protector deities Bonten and Taishakuten. At the rear right of the Naijin is a statue of Fudo Myo-o, and to the left is Aizen Myo-o, supporter of Sho Kanzeon Bosatsu.
